Applications of Data Science in Astrophysics and Gravitational Wave Research
The Workshop on Applications of Data Science in Astrophysics and Gravitational Wave Research (DSAP) will be held at Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad, UttarPradesh, India, between November 01-03,2019. The main goal of this workshop is to point out research areas where the expertise from both Computer Science and Astrophysics communities is inevitably required. This workshop will provide experience in utilization of extremely large astronomical data for Big-Data and Machine Learning (ML) research. In this workshop researchers and students will get an exposure to the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO)-INDIA project and its worldwide community, which will encourage them to unravel the secrets of the Universe.
